The waterbodies of Kozhikode are famed for their illustrious beauty. Gently cruising through the placid waters, enjoying the charming beauty of the locale around, is indeed an experience of a lifetime. River Kallai is one destination that is famed for boating. Traditionally Kallai was an important water-route through which goods reached Kozhikode. Though some of those activities still exist to this day, boating as a tourism entertainment isn’t all that old. Elathur is another spot where you can go boating through amazing locales covered in lush greenery. Canolly Canal is another waterbody which was once the main route of cargo transport between Kozhikode and Kochi. Today, it is an idyllic route where you can enjoy some pleasant boating experiences. You can also go boating at other blissful locations such as Kakkayam and Kalipoika.
